Interim City Manager Roderick J. Wood serves as administrative head of the city government under the direction of the City Council.

Responsibilities of the city manager and his office include:

• Serving as the City Councils chief policy advisor
• Implementing the City Councils policies and programs
• Enforcing city ordinances
• Preparing the budget for City Council consideration
• Recruiting, hiring and supervising city personnel
• Serving as executive director of the Redevelopment Agency
• Conservation Programs
• Grant Programs
• Solid Waste & Recycling programs
