Chronic homelessness is a serious problem in Riverside County and the Coachella Valley. Economic
factors have triggered a rise in homelessness not seen since the Great Depression of the 1930s. As a consequence, the face of homelessness has changed with a significant number of individuals and families devastated by job cuts and unemployment.
With your assistance, the City of Indian Wells is determined to help those in our desert communities who are struggling to meet their basic needs, as well as regain dignity and financial independence. That is why, this April, 2012, the City is again launching its annual HELP FOR HOMELESS fundraising campaign.
During the month of April, the City urges all residents to add a $1 donation to purchases made at HELP FOR HOMELESS partner businesses, or by using the donation link below.
One hundred percent of your HELP FOR HOMELESS donations will go directly to support Coachella Valley transitional shelters and social service facilities.
We hope that you will join us in this very worthwhile cause to help end homelessness in the Coachella Valley. Every HELP FOR HOMELESS dollar will make a huge difference!
Thank you.
