Redevelopment Agency

The Redevelopment Agency is committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for Indian Wells residents and visitors. The Redevelopment Agency focuses its activities on eliminating physical and economic blight conditions through the construction of public improvements and utilities. Additionally, the Redevelopment Agency is responsible for the creation and maintenance of affordable housing for residents of the City of Indian Wells.

The Consolidated Whitewater Project Area was adopted on July 8, 1982. The Consolidated Whitewater Project area contains the majority of developed land within the City of Indian Wells. The establishment of a redevelopment project area enables the City's Redevelopment Agency to retain additional property taxes to facilitate i­ts purpose.
