Over 9 million Americans generate approximately 3 billion needles (sharps) every year. Due to the lack of regulation, the majority of these needles end up in the household trash.** The City of Indian Wells offers residents a safer disposal solution other than the household trash. Stop by pic_pillsCity Hall and pick up a “sharps and Needle Disposal Label” which can be used on empty household containers (i.e. detergent bottles). Indian Wells residents may bring the filled containers to any of our monthly Household Hazardous Waste Events for safe and legal disposal.
