Palm Springs International Film Festival

The Palm Springs International Film Festival, to be held January 5-16, 2012, is one of the largest film festivals in North America. Each January, the Festival screens more than 250 films from over 70 countries to an audience of nearly 120,000.  The annual Awards Gala honors individuals in the entertainment industry with several prestigious awards for acting, directing, achievement in film scoring, and life achievement.  Past honorees have included Brad Pitt, Kate Winslet,Jeff Bridges, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, Shirley MacLaine, Cate Blanchett, Phillip Glass, and many more Hollywood luminaries.
