Hone Your Planting Skills at November 15 Workshop

Whether you’re an avid gardener or an amateur eager to test your green thumb, don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the art and skill of planting! City Landscape Specialist Ryan Bowen and his team are set to host a Fall Planting workshop on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 9 a.m. at City Hall in Council Chambers for all residents.

The free 45-minute workshop will cover such topics as proper plant disposal and soil conditioning, weed prevention, optimal irrigation techniques, best plants and vegetables to grow during the fall/winter season, and more. Community Garden plot owners are invited to join in at 9:45 a.m. for a follow-up education session specific for raised bed gardening.

No RSVP necessary; just show up and be prepared to learn and then apply your newfound expertise at home!
