Honor an Outstanding Community Leader

The Indian Wells Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nomination applications for the 2012 City of Indian Wells ATHENA Awards to be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa. The Indian Wells ATHENA Leadership Award is presented annually to two individuals who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession; have devoted time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community; and actively assist women in realizing their leadership potential. Candidates must be full- or part-time residents of Indian Wells.

ATHENA International was founded by Martha Mayhood Mertz in 1982. Since the program’s inception, nearly 6,000 honorees in more than 500 communities have received the prestigious award in the United States, Bermuda, Canada, China, Greece, India, Russia, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

Please note that all applications should be turned into the Chamber no later than 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11 so we encourage you to fill out and submit your nomination form as soon as possible.
