Join Indian Wells neighbors and friends for this delightful outdoor gathering set for Tuesday, February 21 at the Indian Wells Golf Resort’s IW Club. This ever-popular resident event held from 5-7 p.m. features complimentary appetizers and a no-host bar.

Experience "The Sport of Kings"

Last year’s polo adventure was such a hit with residents that the City’s Community Activities Committee has planned an encore event! “A Day at the Polo Grounds” 2012 will take place on Sunday, February 26. Exclusively for residents, this outdoor sporting event will be held at Empire Polo Club in Indio beginning at 12 p.m. (game 1 at 12 p.m., game 2 at 2 p.m.). Cost of $20 per person includes a full lunch under the white VIP tent, champagne during the divot stomp, and a VIP parking pass for the entire polo season.

Advance reservations and payment are a must. Click here to make your reservations online. You may also come in to City Hall Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. to register and pay. Please note that a valid Indian Wells Property Owner ID card is required for all reservations. Space is limited to two residents per household. Reserve early; this event is expected to sell out.

Residential Security/Emergency Preparedness Expo Will Empower You

The City is sponsoring a free Residential Security/Emergency Preparedness Expo on Saturday, March 3 at Indian Wells City Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This special event will feature public safety presentations every half hour, as well as a variety of representatives providing information and services on home safety and disaster preparedness.

Participating vendors include Alliance Protection, Coachella Valley Water District, Colt Security, Desert Security Services, Emergency Disaster Systems, Key Mobile, The Lighthouse, Quake Safe Kits, Southern California Gas Company, Survival Mode Kits, and Video Surveillance Systems.

Don’t miss this very important educational opportunity. The event is open to everyone in the Coachella Valley community and no RSVP is required.

As an Indian Wells resident, you are eligible to receive four free loge tickets for either the day or evening session during the March 8 Indian Wells Residents’ Day at the 2012 BNP Paribas Open. What’s more, you can also order an additional two free tickets for various other dates of the tournament. Below are important dates/details for these great Indian Wells resident benefit offers:

Monday, January 30 – Friday, February 10: Online ordering only open to Indian Wells residents at www.cityofindianwells.org. Please fill out the Tennis Ticket Request Form and have the APN# ready from your valid Indian Wells Property Owner ID card.

Friday, February 10: Online ordering closes at 5 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, February 21: Tickets available for pick-up at City Hall during normal business hours. Please bring your valid Indian Wells Property Owner ID card with you. (Note: no “will-call” ticket services are available.)

Indian Wells residents without home Internet access are welcome to use a computer at City Hall or the IW Club, or visit a local library with Internet services.
